Writer. Blogger. Washashore.
You could say I went through the rebellious phase a bit late. At 28 I left a teaching career that simply wasn’t my passion and packed up the U-Haul to become a year-rounder on Martha’s Vineyard. I joined my wife in a local bakery but, as a former English major, I was keen on returning to writing. In order to shake off the rust and navigate my new home, I began profiling local vendors and their wares. Camera, notebook, and sourdough loaves in tow (ideal for bartering), I took to the farmers markets in search of anyone willing to share their stories. My side hustle - and escape from zucchini bread baking - became known as “Martha’s on the Vineyard.”
Three years later and I’m now a Social Media and Marketing specialist, freelance writer, and storyteller. My ideal day at the office involves outdoor photoshoots, connecting with folks over food, and strapping a GoPro to a head of cabbage.
